FINANCIAL AID AND IN-HOUSE FINANCING
Your training program has to be affordable. We know it can be difficult to take off from work and cover the cost of training.
The cost of training is your investment in your future, however, and we will work with you to make sure it’s affordable.
NEVADA STATE AID FOR CDL TRAINING
DTR School of Trucking is approved by the State of Nevada to paticipate in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
This financial aid is available for occupational training, including training for a Class A CDL. Please click on the button to explore your state financial aid options.
The process for aid under the WIOA will include the following steps:
· You make an in-person appointment with the office providing the financial aid.
· You’ll be asked to provide certain documentations.
· You may have to have additional skill training to qualify for funding.
· You’ll need a High School diploma or GED to qualify.
Make sure you ask questions throughout the process. In addition, you’ll need to actively pursue the application process.
DTR School of Trucking will assist you through this process.
VETERAN’S BENEFITS AVAILABLE FOR CDL TRAINING IN LAS VEGAS
Veterans make some of the best truckers. The discipline, training, and ability to plan, all skills stressed in the military, suit you well for a career in trucking.
You may be eligible for benefits under the G.I. Bill. You may need to contact the V.A. to explore these options.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT FROM TRUCKING COMPANIES
Many trucking companies will provide reimbursement for your training course tuition. Make sure you keep your receipts, and discuss reimbursement with them as you go through the hiring process.
Reimbursement basically means that your training will be free.
